The captain makes the safety call. If conditions become unsafe, you may reschedule, or, under extenuating circumstances receive a deposit refund.

If weather or other extenuating circumstances postpone your trip, your deposit will be forwarded to your new trip date.
Trips can be postponed to any available date within the calendar year. If you need to postpone your trip to a future date, please call to do so 14 or more days before your scheduled trip. Failure to postpone with 14+ days notice may result in your deposit being forfeited. -
A mate is on board for all fishing trips. A gratuity of around 15-20% of the charter price is customary and much appreciated for their work rigging, gaffing, and cleaning your catch.

A 30% nonrefundable deposit is required to hold your date, and the remaining balance is due at the dock on your trip date.
Cash is preferred, but credit cards are accepted with a 3% processing fee. -
All rods, bait, tackle, ice, and fillet service. You will need to supply your own food*, drinks, sunscreen, proper attire, and a cooler for your cleaned fish.

Arrive at Spicer’s Marina (93 Marsh Rd. Noank) at least 15 minutes before departure. Guest parking is free and close to the dock.

The boat carries the required federal HMS permit and state charter licenses for CT, NY, RI, and MA.

Non-marking shoes, layered clothing, hat, sunglasses, and rain gear if the forecast calls for it.
No hard liquor, and absolutely NO bananas, which are considered bad luck aboard the Sarah J.
